Fall Prevention & Mobility

Steadier balance, safer movement and a home that is less likely to trip you up.

All programmes

A fall is one of the most common reasons an older adult loses independence. Most falls are preventable, and the work starts long before the fall - with strength, balance and the room you walk through every day.

What the sessions cover

  • Seated and standing strength exercises that need no equipment
  • Balance drills, and how to get up safely after a fall
  • A room-by-room home hazard check: loose rugs, wet floors, poor lighting, cables
  • Footwear, walking aids and how to use a stick or walker correctly
  • Medicines and dizziness - what to ask your doctor

How it runs

Guided movement sessions with a short home-safety review. Exercises are adapted for arthritis, knee pain and heart conditions, and always stay within what feels safe.

Who it is for

Anyone who has fallen, feels unsteady, or wants to keep living independently.
