Many older adults own a smartphone but only use a fraction of it, usually because one bad experience - a wrong tap, a scary pop-up - made them cautious. This programme rebuilds confidence slowly, on your own device.
What the sessions cover
- Phone basics: sound, brightness, text size, and how to undo a mistake
- WhatsApp: sending photos, voice notes, video calls and group messages
- UPI and online payments, including how to recognise a fake payment request
- Booking appointments, ordering medicines, and reading a hospital report on screen
- Spotting scam messages, fake links and "your account will be blocked" calls
How it runs
Small groups, seated, at your pace. Every session is practical - you do the task on your own phone while a guide sits alongside. Family members are welcome to attend the first session.
Who it is for
Complete beginners, and anyone who has a smartphone but avoids using it beyond calls.
