Caregiver Support

For the family member doing the caring - practical help, and a room of people who understand.

All programmes

Most care in India is given by family, unpaid, often alongside a job and children. Caregivers routinely put their own health last. This programme is for them.

What the sessions cover

  • Hands-on safety: safe lifting, transfers, bathing and dressing
  • Managing medicines, appointments and hospital paperwork
  • Recognising burnout, and building a support rotation so it is not all on one person
  • Talking to a parent who refuses help
  • Where paid home care fits, and how to choose a service

How it runs

Peer support groups plus practical demonstrations. Sessions run in the evening so working caregivers can join.

Who it is for

Adult children, spouses and relatives caring for an older adult.
